THE 24th MARTIN JENNINGS MEMORIAL RUN 2011.

Update – The run is now postponed for 2 weeks. It’ll now take place on Sunday 25th September (to be confirmed). This is due to the gale force winds expected this weekend heading in from the South West as a result of Hurricane Katia. Regards Dave Saunby

The run will assemble at Garras Wharf, Truro, 9.00am for 10.00am start. (weather permitting).

Entry fees will be £3 solo and £5 with pillion

JENNINGS RUN IN SOLIDARITY WITH MAG DEMO

Having spoken to members of the Moorlanders MCC who are organising the eastern end of the Cornwall MAG Demo, I am pleased to announce that with agreement, MAG members will lead the Jennings Run at 40 mph from the lunch stop down A30 to Bodmin, where they will then peel off and double back to Sourton Cross on on their original route, while the Jennings Run will continue on to Beacon at normal road speed as in previous years.

Forums
The forums have been updated. Everything should be working but there's a few things you'll need to know:
  • Bookmarks - If you bookmarked pages on the old forum, you'll need to update them.
  • Passwords - If anyone's having trouble logging in to the new forum, use the 'I forgot my password' button on the login page to reset it.
  • Youtube - old posts with Youtube links may need to be re-submitted by their authors for the videos to show up again. Literally, press the 'Edit' button then 'Submit'.
Any problems/issues with the new forums, let me know in this thread.

Steak Night - 8th April
I have organized a Steak Night and get together for all members who are interested on Friday the 8th April 7pm at Frankie's.

As before, ordering & payment need to be sorted with Frankies by Sunday April 3rd.

Club Christmas Dinner
Deadhead Dave and Mike Hampton have organized a Christmas meal and get together for all members who are interested on Friday the 14th January 7pm at Frankie's.

FIREFIGHTERS RALLYING ROUND - Sat 11th Sept
Firefighters and cornwall council staff are taking part in a motorbike rally visiting 31 fire stations across the county. The event takes place on Saturday 11th Sept

The 23rd Martin Jennings Run - Sunday 12th September
This years charity will be "CANCER RESEARCH UK". Cancer affects us all in one way or another, be it family or friends who have passed away, or are at present suffering from this dreaded illness.

START VENUE. Garras Wharf Car Park. Truro. 9.00 for 10.00am start.

ENTRY FEE. £3 solo. £5 with pillion. (same as last year).

Run Rules will be given to each rider when entering the car park, and the Cornwall Council Road Safety Unit will be giving out special 2010 Jennings Run freebies.

Have your entry fee ready as you enter the carpark entrance for the collectors.

New Cafe @ Frankies
Congratulations to Dave and Frankie who have taken over the old Cafe One site today. They will be opening for business on Saturday 7th August so we hope to see you all there on Sunday.

Mavericks MCC Bike Show
The Mavericks MCC are holding the 5th Annual Bike Show and Rock Night in aid of NABD. It'll be at St Dennis AFC on 31st July 2010.
Bike entries before 3pm (£3 ber bike) other entries to the event by donation.
